Thom Filicia Talks About His Charming Design Style

The first pro to launching your own business is the fact that you would be simple home out your dream. There are many people who have dreams to launch a business, but many rarely end up doing so. That's because they are so afraid of failure that they convince themselves that they are better off working for someone else. Of course your business could fail, but many people say it's worth the risk, no matter the outcome. Even if you had a secure job working for someone else, there's a chance that you may loose it. This would leave you right where you feared you would be if your business failed.

T.: Very -- life is full of adventure! Since Queer Eye, I have been keeping very busy with numerous projects. My cabinets online is in its 12th year and I have been working on a variety of residential and commercial design projects. I also have a book called, Thom Filicia Style, out on shelves now. Most recently, I have been working on the launch of the Thom Filicia Home Collection, which is made up of artwork, rugs, bedding and fabrics!

You want to bring the personality of the family into the home, but you've also got to work with various limitations like functional necessity and budget - how do you balance all the competing aspects that go into decorating style?

Van Rossum: "That's a beautiful story. You know, so many people are searching for their purpose but they can't quite figure out what it is. There's the old adage that your purpose is whatever you would do in the world for free. But too many get stuck in the 'I don't know' of the nice ceiling process and they stay there. I encourage them to make it their intention to know their purpose. From there the Guidance can flow. When you stay in the 'I don't know' of any quest, you're resisting.

On the other hand, someone who wants to start a new career can follow these inter design process courses. Within a short time, they can receive certification and start working for themselves. That gives people the freedom to be their own boss and earn as much or as little as they choose to.

Where do you go from here? Many times when we find something mid size watches that we love, we are hesitant to ask questions. Unfortunately, most of us will not risk, or invest the time to learn more about it.
