Choose a material that fits your other furniture. Go with a cherry finish if all of your other personal design plans is in cherry already. If you put a mahogany or other wooden TV stands in the room it will stand out and draw a lot of attention to itself.

Sometimes less is more. You may feel a little bit discouraged and think that you can't do bed room interior design just because you don't have several hundred dollars to spend on a new comforter. However, if you already have the focal point in your room you can probably just get away with a plain comforter or a white goose down blanket. It's important not to get discouraged and just focus on what you do have.
